I recently had the pleasure of working with Stephanie Fish of Buckeye V.A. on her new website design for her Virtual Assistant business. Her previous design was very dark with a black background and a bright white contrast. It wasn’t portraying the look and feel that she wanted for her business.
I suggested that we try to soften things up with Stephanie’s new custom WordPress Theme and make it pretty while keeping it very professional-looking. The gray pinstripes of the background is a symbol of a suit (professional) with pink accents (pretty), throwing a few swirls in just for fun. Stephanie was very pleased with the result. She wrote:
It’s taken many website designs and designers, but finally, I have a website that I’m thrilled about! It’s so nice to start the new year off with a great looking website (it makes a world of difference as a business owner when you are thrilled about your web presence)

Successful Chow Chow breader, Mary Kay McCleve has found the value in taking her business online. She writes -
Just want to say thank you for all your hard work on my web site. I have been getting a lot of positive comments. The fast response to getting my pictures posted has really helped me with my puppy buyers. The consumer friendly way the whole site is set up is a GREAT feature. I feel my web site has really increased my sales and given me a lot of education in how important the web site is to my business.
While Mary Kay was already known around the world for her champion Chow Chows in certain circles, she is finding that having a web presence is exposing her to a whole new audience of people who want to buy her Chow Chow puppies. We’ve been posting photos of the pups from birth…and they are just adorable! Be sure to check out the Creole Chow Chows website–the puppies are sure to make you smile!
I recently created a custom WordPress theme for Bill Cobb at Baton Rouge Real Estate Appraisers. He needed wide outside columns to accomodate his videos and other information. He knew exactly what he wanted and was wonderful to work with.
Bill liked his new theme so much that he asked me to create a second theme, very similar, but in blue. Here is a screenshot of that theme:

Bill was so kind as to record this video and write the testimonial below. Thanks, Bill! You were great to work with!
“Hi, I’m Bill Cobb Appraiser in Baton Rouge working with Wordpress Blogs for marketing help for my appraisal business. I had been searching online for about 6 months now trying a premium theme to use and couldn’t locate a theme I liked. I did find a Realtor’s website I really liked though. I found Kim Smith’s “Dramatic Design” on Ebay under the keyword “Wordpress” and emailed her about my search, the site I liked, my specifications I was looking for and to see if she could assist me. She said she could, so I purchased her Ebay Auction. Kim immediately went into action on my project, asked more questions about my desires for the site and went to work. The theme she designed is located @ http://www.batonrougerealestateappraisers.net/ and I am very pleased with Kim Smith’s Dramatic Design. Her price was reasonable, her attention to detail was superb, and her delivery was rather quick for a Web Design Company. I highly recommend http://www.dramatic-design.com/ .”

I recently had the opportunity to work with Ann at Coupons, Deals and More on a new graphic header for her blog, a web button, and a new business card design. She was very pleased with the outcome.

Kim was a sheer delight to work with. Her patience, guidance, dedication and expertise turned a nebulous idea into custom logo. Dramatic Design exceeded my expectations giving my site a custom look at an affordable price.

The Faith Journey is a unique church in the Brighton, Michigan area. The first design of this website is to the left. It was a nested-tables design, utilizing Cascade Style Sheets. A calendar was integrated into the design so the client could easily update events. This is an original design.
As the church grew, so did the need for a more advanced website. The client chose a pre-made template and I adapted it for the client. In addition to the calendar, this design (right) included a blog, and a download section for the weekly sermons on MP3. The menu was made from an image map.

“Kim has been a great help to us in getting our website up and running in a very short time. She is always very responsive to us and very quick in getting the job done. She designed the look of our site and we have gotten many compliments on it. I would recommend having Kim help you if you need a quality site done quickly!”
